This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday February 8

7:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Voting is a fundamental right and the cornerstone of democracy. Which issues are at the forefront of current debates about voting rights? What impact do these issues have on specific communities and the nation? How do past legislation, court decisions, injustices, and activism inform our present moment?

Join us as we address these questions through a historical and contemporary overview of voting rights in a conversation with Regan Aduddell (League of Women Voters), Dr. Martha Kropf (Professor of Political Science & Public Administration, UNC Charlotte) and Kristie Puckett-Williams (ACLU of NC).

Moderated by Levine Museum’s Chief Content Strategist, Dr. Franky Abbott, including historical insights by Levine Museum’s Historian Dr. Willie Griffin.
